Oasis is a small, independent beachfront hostel in Puerto Viejo, built around one simple idea: life is better when you slow down a little.
We're right on the Caribbean, surrounded by tropical greenery and the wildlife that comes with it. Step outside and you might find yourself watching the waves, swinging in a hammock, meeting travellers from across the world — or spotting a sloth making its way through the trees.

Yes. Both our private rooms have a fan and mosquito net.
Our 9-bed dorm has fans in the room,and each dorm bed has its own mosquito net and small personal fan for extra comfort.
We work hard to keep Oasis clean and comfortable throughout your stay.
Our toilets, showers and common areas are cleaned several times a day,and the dorm is swept regularly. The kitchen is also cleaned frequently throughout the day. We ask guests to help us keep the shared spaces tidy by cleaning the dishes and items they use.
Because we're an outdoor, beachfront hostel,sand is simply part of life at Oasis! We're just steps from the beach, and our kitchen and common areas are open to the tropical surroundings. We do our best to keep everything clean while still enjoying the relaxed Caribbean environment.
Private rooms are cleaned between stays, with additional cleaning available when needed.
Yes. We have security cameras around the property,and a security guard carries out regular patrols at night to help keep the hostel and our guests safe.
